C-DAC Mohali has conducted the Information Security Education and Awareness workshop at 5 SIGNAL BN CRPF HALLOMAJRA, Chandigarh.

146 Government Employee from 5 SIGNAL BN CRPF attended the workshop.

Shri Naresh Kumar Sharma SECOND IN COMMAND, 5 SIGNAL BN CRPF HALLOMAJRA, Chandigarh inaugurated the Workshop on Security Awareness.

Shri P.K.Tripathi DEPUTY COMMANDANT, 5 SIGNAL BN CRPF
HALLOMAJRA, Chandigarh, gave a brief detail of the Information Security Awareness requirements in IT world.

In first session of workshop started with major online risks and threats related to Computers, Families, Personal Information and steps to be taken to secure computer.
The primary threats to children like Cyberbullies, Predator, File-Share abuse, Disturbing contents discussed.

In second session of workshop Internet Threats like phishing scams, identity theft and many more were discussed and tips for securing the internet browser were given to the participants.

Special emphasis was given to The Cyber-Crime Black Market. The Cyber Criminal Network and cyber-crime organizations operate like companies, with experts specialized in each area and position was explained.

The participants were enthusiastic on using Internet and shared their experiences with different threats over Internet.

Good feedback represented the participants keenness to learn about security issues while doing the internet.
