One day work shop on ‘Information Security Awareness’ was organized by Cdac Mohali in the Cdac premises for Air Force station 12 Wing employees on 23rd Sept. 2011. The objective of the ISEA work shop was to generate information security awareness among the various users like children, home users, Government users, students, teachers of Educational Institutes and IT professionals.
There were 25 Government employees who attended the ISEA workshop. The workshop started by Mrs. Navroop briefing about ISEA Project & further with technical sessions.
The work shop had two technical sessions and covered five following topics

• Purpose of Information Security
• Basic Security Concepts and cyber usage at Government sector
• User credential Protection
• Personal Computer Security
• Laws/policies Standards and computer forensic

During the session the questions were raised on Cyber terrorist, phishing attack, unwanted services, licence key of operating system, ssl certificate and all the questions were answered by the team members.

Over all workshop went well and received good feed back.
