C-DAC Mohali has conducted the Information Security Education and Awareness workshop to 40 participants (20 Govt. employees from Himachal Police) and (20 Cdac students) on 30th July 2010 at Cdac, Mohali

Topics like Phishing, Browser security, Botnet concept, Strong Password Importance, Wireless Network, Internet threats were discussed broadly and the precautions to be taken while surfing on Internet were briefly elaborated .The Participants shared their experiences with different kind of problem they normally faced over Internet. Topics like Fake antivirus, Phishing, Trojans, worm were also discussed. Different online scams, latest internet security threats were told to them.

The feedback form from participants shows that workshop was very good & Informative for them.
