Information Security Awareness workshop was conducted on 17th Feb 2012 at Carmel Convent, Sector-9,Chd.The workshop was inaugurated by Mr. Rakesh Sehgal of CDAC, Mohali and was attended by 600 students along with their 20 staff members.
 
The key speakers for the workshop were Shri. Rakesh Sehgal (HOD), Smt. Navroop Kaur (Project Associate) of CDAC, Mohali. 

The  workshop was held in session wise manner and following sessions were held

1. Introduction to ISEA Project
2. Introduction to Information Security
3. Video Session
4. Detailed session on Browser, IM, Downloads, Anti-virus, spyware, threats, vulnerabilities and firewall etc

The workshop was finally followed by question and answer session and question raised were related to following

• Automatic Patches
• Torrents and threats to Information Security
• Firewall and Routers
• Data safeguarding
• Encryption
