ISEA Workshop for School Students

C-DAC Mohali has conducted the Information Security Education and Awareness workshop at Doon International School, Mohali for School students. To spread awareness among all students, workshop was conducted in two sessions. The students were actively involved during the sessions.
Session 1: 140 Students from standard 10th & 12th attended the session. Phishing, safe browsing, chatting, and different internet threats were discussed broadly and the precautions to be taken while surfing on Internet were briefly elaborated. Internet security measures like updation of windows and working of internet firewall were told to them. Topics like Virus, Worm, Spyware, email scams and latest case studies were also discussed.
Session 2: 145 Students from standard 8th & 9th attended the session. Internet security measures and steps to take when you go online were discussed. Topics like Virus, Worm and Spyware were elaborated. Tips for email attachments and posting your personal information online were given to the students.
