The Information Security Awareness workshop was organized on July 22nd, 2010 at Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya, Rohini, Delhi.

Workshop was conducted by Ms.Vidhi Khanduja, Lecturer, Department of Information Technology, Delhi Technological University. Around 150 students of XIth and XIIth of the school attended this workshop. Teachers from various sections participated along with the Principal Mrs.Susham Sethi.

The 3-hour interactive session started with the discussion on the importance of Awareness Program, basics of Internet and information about Internet Ethics.In later on students were made aware of various risks on Internet like, Phishing, Skimming, Key loggers etc and the precautions to be taken while surfing on Internet were elaborated. The students were very keen to know about the Security measures while using Internet for which demo on browser
settings and search engine settings were given.

They were expressing their understanding of various concepts and actively participated in the Quiz at the end of the session and prizes were given to the students.

All the students enjoyed the refreshments served after the session completed.

The feedback from the school authorities and students was good.

Workshop was well received both by the children & the school management.
