C-DAC Mohali has conducted the Information Security Education and Awareness workshop on 3rd September  2010 at Government Senior Secondary School , Kahmano , Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab . The 250 students (from standard 9th and 10th ) and Teachers participated in the workshop and  actively discussed on issues related  to Internet Security . Posters & ISEA handbooks were given to the schools for further reference on internet security.

The Speaker of the session Mr.Daveet Singh Lobana started the presentation with brief description of ISEA program and continued session with the best and worst thing of the internet with an example.
 The session started with what in Internet and how people are depended on internet, features of internet, purpose of internet and advantages and disadvantages of the internet.  Apart from these he covered the following topics

• Cyber Bullying
• Major threats to computer
• Tips and Guidance
• Safe Browsing
• PC security
• Enabling the Secure features of web browser
• Best practice of Internet
• How to Prevent  Identity Theft

Apart from these topics on browser security, computer virus symptoms, key loggers, Trojans, Phishing were also covered.
Videos on Identity theft, the importance of passwords and how to implement internet security were shown.
