Information Security Awareness Workshop
at: IIPA, New Delhi for
36th Batch of Advanced Professional Programme in Public Administration (APPPA),on: 13-14 September-2010

The Advanced Professional Programme in Public Administration (APPPA), the flagship programme is designed for senior officers of the All India and Central Services, Defence Services, and State Governments. The nine month programme provides the participants with a basic understanding and knowledge of the social sciences and the social, political and economic environment within which public administration functions, equips them with management tools and techniques, and the wherewithal to analyse public policies. It exposes them to the conditions operating in the field and provides an opportunity to exchange views and learn from experiential presentation by the participants, who have a chance to specialize in areas they identify from a vast array of electives offered in the programme.

There is special module in the programme which deal with cyber security, under this CDAC conducted Information security & awareness workshop on 13th & 14th of September, 2010. There were 47 participants present in the workshop.

Issue related to cyber security was discussed in depth. Hands-on training on email tracing along with information about cyber crime was also given to participant. Various type of attached were demonstrated to participants. Website links of important website which provide security tool were also given to participants.

Official shared their experiences & problem they normally while using internet. APPA participant found all the information very informative and useful for day to day work.
