One Day Workshop
on
Information Security Awareness to SAHAJ-VLEs
Venue : Training Hall, Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu

The workshop on Information Security Awareness was conducted for SAHAJ -VLEs around Krishnagiri.
The collaborative training program between SAHAJ and C-DAC was expected to benefit at least 100 VLEs of the T V Malai and Krishnagiri district of the state in the first phase. It will also provide wider access to information and encourage usage of ICT as a tool for innovation, competitiveness, productivity and efficiency of farmers and entrepreneurs in rural areas. The programme is aimed at transforming the village from an agrarian to a knowledge-based economy, in which ICT will play a central role. The training facilitates socio-economic development, through the deployment and exploitation of information and communication technologies (ICTs) within the economy and society.
In the first phase Second day we have targeted Krishnagiri . The program started with the introduction of CDAC and its achivements and Importance. Later session was interactive for the NGOs. Main topics covered were how to secure the pc from unauthorised useres, Browser stting, Spam mails, Trouble shooting sytem , OS updates and patching, Anti virus usage, Copy write issues and Safe Browsing. The participants are from Different villages so it was more interective.The members were keen to know the functions of system and troubleshooting the system.
At the end the website information been given to the participants.Total participants are 41.
