Workshop on Information Security Awareness

The Information Secuirty Awareness workshop conducted for 25 participants at college of Air Warfare.The Wing Commander Mr.Arun Kumar gave the brief description and importance of the workshop.

Session was started by Mrs. Indraveni with the objective of the workshop and  started the session along with Ms.OmAarathi.S on most common attacks like Social Engineering, Identity Theft, Denial of Service and Phishing with latest scenarios and example.

Also told how to prevent the attacks by following some safety precautions like safe web browsing, blocking the e-mails from unknown users, using the updated anti virus.

Practical examples were shown on how to check the trusted and unstrusted sites,how to check the certificate of a trusted site, how to trace a e-mail received from unknown user, how to check the details of domian names and how to enable the security features in the web browser.

Over all workshop was successful and C-DAC received good feedback.
