C-DAC Mohali has conducted the Information Security Education and Awareness workshop at Government Senior Secondary School Mohali to 75 Students and 5 teachers. The children from standard 9th, 10th and 12thparticipated in the workshop and were actively involved during the sessions.
Workshop was conducted in two different sessions. In the first session 50 participants from9th, 10thclass participated in workshop. The second session 30 participants from 10th, 12th class participated in workshop.

Topics on phishing, safe browsing, safe chatting, were discussed broadly and the precautions to be taken while surfing on Internet were briefly elaborated. Topic on Identity theft and security measures for protecting information online was discussed. The students were very keen to know about the viruses, worm,and spywares and shared their experiences with different kind of problem they normally faced over Internet.
