An ISEA workshop was conducted on 3rd August 2011 at Principal Accountant General(Audit)J&k,Jammu.The workshop was inaugurated by the Sh.Susheel Kumar,Principal Director,RTI and attended 20 staff members.The key speakers for the workshop were Shri Rajneesh Raina (STO), Shri S.K.Sharma(TO) and Shri D.S.Oberoi(Scientist E).

The workshop was held in session wise manner and following sessions were held,

1.Introduction to Information Security

2.Introduction to ISEA project

3.Detailed session on Browser,IM,Downloads,Anti-virus,Firewall,Spyware,Threats Vulnerabilities etc.

4.Video Session

5.Practical session on Firewall, Antivirus,OS updates and Internet Browser

6.Question and Answer session

In the practical session the team members covered practical issues related to:

1.Antivirus updating(Scheduled and automatic)

2.Operating system patches and updates

3.Phishing,Spyware,Firewall etc

Audience was informed about the www.infosecawareness website and its relevance in light of the present workshop,safe internet and computer usage.

The workshop finally followed by question and answer session,where question ranged from social networking,firewall and antivirus software.
