A workshop was conducted on 16th May at ISA at R.M.Charitable and Educational Trust, Jammu. The workshop was attended by the principal of college Sh.Dhar and Trustee Mrs.Rita Mengi and also by 67 students along with 16 teachers.The key speakers for the workshop were Shri Rajneesh Raina(STO),Shri S.K.Sharma(TO) and Shri D.S.Oberoi(Scientist E).

 The workshop was held in session wise manner and following sessions were held,

 1. Introduction to Information Security

2.Video Session

3.Detailed session on Browser, IM,Downloads,Anti-Virus,Firewall,Spyware,Threats,Vulnerabilities etc.

4.Practical Session on Firewall,Antivirus,OS updates and Internet Browser

5.Introduction to ISEa Project

6.Question and Answer session

In the practical session, the team members covered practical issues related to:

1.Anti-virus signatures updating (Scheduled and automatic)

2.Operating system patches and updates

3.Phishing, Spyware,Firewall

4.Tips for safe downloading etc

The workshop were finally followed by question and answer session, where question ranged from downloading,firewall,anti-virus software and social networking.
