The Information Security Awareness workshop conducted at ECIL for the Students of Electronics and Computer science Students .
The session was started with brief introduction on Information and flow of communication by CDAC Mr.Gnana Seelan. Then technical session was followed with basic security concepts, the best and worst thing of Internet , usage of Internet.
As the Program planned for two days First day Session was covered the following topics:

• Basic Security concept
• Social Engineering techniques
• Importance of Copyrights
• Importance of Passwords
• Attacks
• Tips and guidelines
• Safe downloads
• Secure PC
• DoS attacks and other TCP attacks
• Second day topics are :
• Security tips
• Online Banking
• Firewall

Over all workshop went well and received good feed back. Total participants are 90.
