Information Security Awarenes Workshop

An Information Security Education & Awareness (ISEA) Workshop was conducted at Nagaon Auditorium, Nagaon, Assam on 10th April 2012. The workshop created significant impacts creating user level information security awareness on IT and its day to day uses. CDAC Kolkata’s contributions in spreading such awareness were well appreciated in this district town of Assam, where this kind of useful endeavour is not conducted very regularly. The workshop‐participants, which mostly included Police personnel, students, Advocates of Nagaon district court, etc were over 100 in number. This workshop was inaugurated by Dr. P. Ashok Babu, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Nagaon and attended by Ashim Kr. Chetia, ACS, Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Sri Sunil Kumar, IPS, SP, Nagaon and other police officers including Addl. SP, OCs and SIs. After the inauguration, the technical session was conducted by Shri. Sudip Maity and Shri. Soumen Deb Nath of CDAC Kolkata. The workshop received good coverage from local media, too.
