C-DAC Mohali conducted the Information Security Education and Awareness workshop for 81 MCA students and 3 Teachers from Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib at CDAC, Mohali.
Topics on different internet threats were discussed broadly and the precautions to be taken while surfing on Internet were briefly elaborated. The students were very keen to know about the Security measures while using Internet and shared their experiences with different kind of problem they normally faced over Internet. Topics like Phishing, Virus, Worm and Spyware were also discussed. Live examples of Trojans, Backdoor, Spyware and e-mail scams were shown to the participants.
The participants were very much involved in the workshop and gave their views and appraisal about the workshop that purely represented their interest in the program.
