C-DAC Mohali has conducted the Information Security Education and Awareness workshop to 100 participants including students & teachers of K.V. no.1, no. 3, no. 4, no. 5 jointly at K.V. No.1 bathinda, Punjab on 6th Aug 2010.

Ethics to follow while doing internet were told to them. Safe browsing, safe chatting, were discussed broadly and the precautions to be taken while surfing Internet were briefly elaborated. Topic on Identity theft and security measures for protecting information online was discussed. The children were very keen to know about the viruses, worm, and spywares and shared their experiences with different kind of problem they normally faced over Internet. Topics about scareware were also discussed.

The feedback from students truly represented their satisfaction from the workshop.
