ISEA Workshop for School Children
at: Kendriya Vidyalaya, ‘K’ Zirakpur

C-DAC Mohali has conducted the Information Security Education and Awareness workshop at Kendriya Vidyala, Zirakpur, Mohali to 210 children and 12 teachers. The children from standard 7th, 8th, 9th, participated in the workshop and were actively involved during the sessions.
To spread awareness among all the students, we conducted the workshop in two sessions The first session consisted of 110 childrens from 7th,8th. The second session conducted for 100 students from 8th, 9th.
Topics on phishing, safe browsing, safe chatting, were discussed broadly and the precautions to be taken while surfing on Internet were briefly elaborated. Topic on Identity theft and security measures for protecting information online was discussed. The children were very keen to know about the viruses, worm,spywares and shared their experiences with different kind of problem they normally faced over Internet.
The feedback from students truly represented their satisfaction from the workshop.
