Information Security Awareness

Venue: Kamat Lingapur Hotel, Hyderabad

As part of the National Campaign of Information Security Awareness Workshops, the first workshop in the series of Master Trainers Program was successfully completed with a strength of 40 Teachers and 40 students from various Kendriya Vidyalaya Schools of the twin cities ( Hyderabad & Secunderabad ).

The Chief Guest of the function: Dr. B C Jinaga, OSD, JNTU started with his experience in the internet world and mentioned that awareness on Information Security is the need of the hour as we can see in daily newspapers and TV news where there are increasing number of internet fraudulent cases registered. And in this regard children are more vulnerable due to the lack of awareness on Internet fraudulent happening day by day. We should focus on that to make them more secure and aware.

Dr. N. Sarat Chandra Babu, Director, C-DAC Hyderabad enlightened the complete workshop and importance of conducting such awareness workshops for students and teachers. Teachers pave a path for future generation and students are the hope of the future generation so they can continue to impart knowledge and awareness to others.

Shri. S. Selvaraj, Assistant Commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalayas Hyderabad Region was also present on the occasion and mentioned that this programme would be very useful for both the teachers and students community. Also, this awareness programme should be included in school curriculum from basic. He was sharing his personal experience on Internet issues.

Later on the sessions went very interactive. C-DAC received good feedback on the workshop.
