Information Security Awareness Workshop

The Information Security Awareness workshop was conducted at Navy Children School Nausenabagh on July 08th, 2010. The workshop was conducted for three batches.

The first session was conducted  to Standard VIII students, following Standard IX,X and the last session to 11th and 12th students. The total of 540 students attended the workshop.

The sessions started up with basics of Internet and a small question answer session, to get an idea of how the children are using Internet. Most answers from children were showing the impact of Internet on them. They are very eager and interested to use all the resources available in Internet, but non of them were bothered about Securing their data, or updating their systems etc.

On completing the sessions, which covered upon Updates of systems, anti-virus, and various risks of Internet like, Phishing, Skimming, Key loggers etc, the students expressed their views about unawareness of these kinds of risks. The feedback from students was good. They were expressing their understanding of various concepts and taken the pledge of being protected over Internet.
