The workshop was conducted on 16th Nov 2011 at Sher -I-Kashmir Police Academy J&K,Udhampur. The workshop was inaugurated by Sh.T.Punchok,IPS,DIG Jt Director,SKPA and was attended by 64 probationary DSPs of J&K police along with 8 staff members of the academy.

The key speakers for the workshop were Sh Rajneeth Raina (STO),Sh S.K.Sharma (TO) and Sh D.S Oberoi(Scientist E)

The workshop was held in session wise manner and following session were held,

1.Introduction to ISEA Project

2.Introduction to Information Security

3.Video Session

4.Detailed session on Browser,IM,Downloads,Anti-virus,Firewalls,Spyware,Threats,Vulnerabilities etc

5.Practical session on Firewall,antivirus,OS updates and internet Browser

6.Cyber crime

7.Question and answer session

In the practical session, the team members covered practical issues related to:

• operating system patches and updates
• Phishing,Spyware,Firewall
• Antivirus signatures updating (scheduled and automatic)
• Tips for safe downloading etc
