CDAC , Hyderabad conducted workshop at Port Blair  for students   Teachers on 1st September 2010. The workrkshop started with Welcome talk from Shri S K Sethi , Deputy Education Officer ( Science) then Introduction by the Chief Guest Shri Utpal Sharma ,Special Secretary (IT), he highlighted the need of the Information Security Awareness program in Island. Later the workshop was started with interactive mode with the participants.Also Doordarshan covered the same .

The main Talk on Information security Awareness was on

• Internet Ethics
• Safe Internet Usage in public computers
• Email Security
• Computer Virus, worm and Trojan and its symptoms
• Social Networking
• Online Communication ( chat , email , spam etc )
• Online Risks and how to avoid
• Cyber Crime
• Identity theft
• Chatting
• Phishing
• How to avoid online fraud etc.

Also Video demo on Indentity theft and password been displayed

The programme ended with Queries and  Quiz for the partipants . The participants are from 10 different School from each school 2 students and 2 Teachers and been considered as master trainers in their respective schools. Total were 50 participants . The programme was interactive and teachers shared their view on Online shopping and communication. The programme been concluded by Programme coordinator .
