As per Information Security Awareness workshop, C-DAC , Hyderabad conducted two days (01.07.2011-02.07.2011)  workshop at St Xavier School , Jaipur . The workshop was conducted for the teachers . The participants are from different departments of school and college lecturers of St Xavier Group.

The workshop was stared with the welcome speech by Principal St Xavier School , Jaipur. The other Guest are Fathers from the school and Mr & Mrs.M S Gaur from MNIT , Jaipur. Mainly the workshop focused on how to guide students and children as all the participants are from Teaching.

The topic covered during the workshop are :

• Social Impact on Internet
• Internet usage for  Education , current affairs, communication, and others.
• The Risk involved in the usage  internet.
• About Online shopping as most of them are doing online shopping
• Cyber Safety
• Ethics , ethical values
• Search engine – Features , risk and how to safe search with demo.
• Web browser – Risk and security and demo
• Parental Control Bar with video demo .
• E-Mails – spam , phishing etc and its risk and precautions
• Malicious Software – Virus, Worm, Trojan, Spyware and its problem and solution.
• Examples on lottery and bank mails.
• How to trace email and securing web browser.
• Firewall and its important
• Anti-virus , Anti Spyware  etc
• Tips and guideline for teachers on password, email, etc
• Basic security concepts with Information assurance
• Social Engineering with its risk and tips
• Keylogger
• Instant Messenger and its Risk and how to avoid the Risk.
• Introduction to BOSS and Open source softwares

The workshop was fully interactive during two days. Most of the participants were interactive . The participants has been awarded with compliments for theirs  positive response with answers. The total participants were 110 .  The workshop was appreciated and welcomed by all of them.
