Cyber wing nabs two for 1-lakh credit card fraud

Chennai: The cyber crime wing of the city police has arrested two men, one of them a student, for cheating a person of Rs 1 lakh by using his credit card.
A team on Wednesday nabbed Syed Munavar (28), a BCA, and Mujayid (19), pursuing BCA in a private college in the city. Police recovered two laptops, 41 fake credit cards, four mobile phones, 37 SIM cards and two data cards from them. They were nabbed by a team led by cyber crime wing assistant commissioner of police D Thangaraj.
When questioned, they admitted to committing the crime, police sources said. The two men were in connivance with the employees of a few shops in the city.
They had collected the credit card number, CVV number and date of expiry with the help of a shop employee. The duo had booked domestic and international flight tickets using the portal, Easygo Travels.
