Hyderabad: Cyber Crime investigators on Friday night arrested a student for allegedly hacking e-mail IDs of his friends and sending abusive and obscene mails.
According to the CCS police, Karanam Krupender, 23, a student and a resident of Christian Colony, Shadnagar, Mahbubnagar district, was nabbed for hacking e-mail IDs and sending obscene mails.
Sandeep, who got a job offer from HCL company, lodged a complaint with the Cyber Crime Police Station CID on July 31 alleging that his e-mail account was hacked and abusing mails were sent from it. HCL Company received an e-mail from Sandeep stating that he was no more interested in the job, and also some obscene messages. He lost the job opportunity, police said.
Sandeep said his email was hacked by some unknown persons who gave a mail to spoil his prospects.
Sandeep also told police that the email ID of a female friend was also hacked and she too was getting offensive messages. He suspected all this was done by one person. During the course of investigation, the details of IP address of the mails sent to HCL were collected and the origin was traced to K Krupender of Mahbubnagar district.
On interrogation, Krupender confessed to the crime and said that all the three of them are classmates in school.
He got close to the girl and was about to get married, but he suspected that she was also close to Sandeep, police said. He wanted to establish that by hacking their mails. He later hacked their mail IDs and found that she was also very intimate with Sandeep.
To make them understand his agony, he hacked their mail IDs, police added.
