Steps to follow to enable your privacy and security settings in Facebook

A) Steps to enable the privacy settings that can enable you to either permit or restrict the permissions for viewing of your profile page or your posts by others.
> Go to your Facebook account click on the three lines on the top right hand corner
> Go to ‘Account Settings’ option
> Click on ‘Privacy’ option
> choose ‘who can see your future posts’ and make it limited to friends on Facebook or specific friends only
> choose ‘Limit who can see past posts’ and activate it
> choose ‘who can see the people, pages and lists you follow?’ and limit it only me
> Choose ‘who can send you friend requests?’ and limit it to friends of friend
> choose ‘who can see my friends list’ and limit it to only me option
> choose ‘who can look up using email id’ and limit it to ‘only friends’ option
> choose ‘who can look up using phone no.’ and limit it to ‘only friends’ option
> choose ‘do you want search engines outside Facebook to link to your profile’ and select ‘No’

B) Steps to enable security features to help you verify and ensure if your Facebook account is secured
> Go to your Facebook account click on the three lines on the top right hand corner
> Go to ‘Account Settings’ option
> Click on ‘Security and login’ option
> choose ‘where you are logged in’ and click on ‘see more’ option given below
- the ‘see more’ option will enable you to see the mobile where your account active currently and also where it was accessed earlier.
-click on ‘logout out of all sessions’ in the end of the screen, if you see any unauthorized device accessing your account.
> choose ‘Get alerts about unrecognized login’ and enable it to get alerts if someone tries to login to your account without your permission.
> Choose ‘two factor authentication’ and enable it to get an OTP every time you try to access your account to your registered mobile no.
> choose the option ‘choose 3 to 4 friends to contact if you are locked out’ to enable you to retrieve your account in case it is hacked by someone.
> Choose the option
